Global Sourcing Services (GSS) offer bending & folding of sheet and strip metals for a variety of industries and applications. GSS can manufacture products in a variety of materials and thicknesses according to your specific design requirements in accordance with specified tolerances and drawings.

Bending & Folding is a common manufacturing process that can produce a V-shape, U-shape or channel shape along a give sheet or strip of metal.

With the use of brake presses,  products & components can be formed very efficiently. Depending on the radius of the bend, a punch die generally needs to be created to ensure the end result achieved is consistent and within tolerance. GSS creates all dies for our customers and manages this tooling throughout the life of the project.

A work piece may undergo several processes or bending operations and will sometime require a series of different punch and die operations to create a desired bend/radius.

TUBE & PIPE BENDING

Tube bending is also a very common manufacturing method of permanently forming tube/pipe profiles.

Depending on the complexity of the bend, whether this be single bend or several bends, the method of manufacture will change. Single bend profiles can be made by simply bending straight stock tube around the die while geometries consisting of several bends will require the tube profile to be guided through bending-roll and supporting-roll(s).

Depending on your  product design, GSS can create tooling accordingly. Some tube and pipe bending examples and pictures are illustrated below.
